"Girl Trouble" (
Summary[]
Alma was confessed to by Utsuro, who visited the Gokurakugai Troubleshooter's Agency. Utsuro, who has a mentally unstable temperament, even held a grudge against Tao, Alma's employer, and was a constant nuisance. Despite Alma telling Utsuro that he disliked her because of her persistent behavior, Utsuro's feelings for him only grew stronger. When Alma expressed his confusion, Utsuro made a cryptic comment, saying, "Alma and I share the same blood."
Alma told Utsuro to leave, but she asked him to go on a date. Although Alma refused, Utsuro threatened him to stay with her until death, so he reluctantly agreed to a one-time date.
Meanwhile, Tao, who had stayed behind at the office, noticed blood stains on Utsuro's jacket. Tao asked Tatsumi to investigate Alma's whereabouts and Utsuro's background, then headed to the house of Utsuro's boyfriend, Maki. There, Tao found Maki collapsed, resembling the bizarre exsanguination deaths happening in Gokurakugai.
Utsuro and Alma enjoyed a seemingly ordinary date. After achieving her goal, Utsuro was supposed to leave quietly but began to throw a tantrum instead. When Alma suggested becoming "friends" to the genuinely affectionate Utsuro, she flew into a rage and stabbed Alma with a knife. At that moment, Utsuro mentioned not wanting to give Alma to "Yomi," revealing a connection to Yomi. However, without further explanation, Utsuro defied Yomi's orders and attempted to kill Alma to have him for herself—!?
Plot Details[]
Alma is on the floor, held down by Utsuro when Tao enters. Tao, smoking casually, tells Alma straightforwardly to clean up the mess he made. Alma tries to get Utsuro off him, but she ignores him, focusing on Tao and demanding to know who she is. Tao throws the question back, which annoys Utsuro even more, and she asks if Tao is Alma's lover. Tao calls Alma "Al" and asks for an explanation. As Alma begins to explain, Utsuro starts gushing about how cool the name "Al" is, repeatedly calling him that.
Frustrated, Alma tells Utsuro to be quiet and explains that he and Tao are just colleagues at the Troubleshooting Agency, and his name is Alma, not Al. Utsuro suddenly appears to recognize him, making Alma wonder if Maki has mentioned him to her. Utsuro then enthusiastically embraces Alma, declaring their meeting fate, while Alma protests that she's unsettling him.
Amidst the chaos, Alma finally snaps and tells Utsuro to stop talking and listen. Utsuro bursts into tears, and Alma quickly apologizes before questioning her about Maki and why she suddenly claims to like him. Utsuro avoids the question about Maki, insisting that she now likes Alma and philosophizing about how love shines brightest amidst challenges. Alma mentions Yaya once said something similar.
This prompts Utsuro to dash downstairs to confront Yaya upon learning who she is, demanding to know her relationship with Alma. Another chaotic conversation ensues involving Utsuro, Alma, and Yaya. Suddenly, Auntie appears behind Alma, scolding them for disrupting the business. Eventually, they leave the restaurant after Alma gets hit on the head.
Outside, Utsuro apologizes but exhibits odd behavior. Alma interrupts her and asks why she behaves like this. Utsuro admits she craves attention. Alma, feeling frustrated, tells her she's driving him crazy, but Utsuro takes it as a sign of mutual affection. Alma quickly corrects her, saying he actually dislikes her. Utsuro insists she's falling for him even more. Alma calls her an alien, but she insists she's just like him. He offers to get her a bandage before she leaves, but Utsuro demands a date instead, threatening to stalk him if he refuses. Reluctantly, Alma agrees, and they head into town together.
At the office, Tao notices blood on Utsuro's jacket and calls Yoki, asking Tatsuomi to find Alma and investigate Utsuro's background. Meanwhile, Tao goes to the restaurant and requests Maki's address. Alma, unsure about dating in the city as he's never done it before, finds Utsuro excited while he remains indifferent. Utsuro insists on leading, and they explore the city together.
As they roam, Tao arrives at Maki's house and sadly discovers Maki's decaying body. Later, after their date, Utsuro asks Alma if he enjoyed himself. Alma only grumbles about the money spent, showing his dissatisfaction.
He tells her to go home, but she clings to him, refusing to leave. Alma suggests they can just be friends, but Utsuro ominously declares they can't settle for that. Suddenly, she stabs him, leaving Alma bewildered and bleeding. Utsuro blames Alma for not reciprocating her love and confesses she feared for her life if she pursued him, unwilling to let Yomi have him. She states she's decided to claim Alma, even if it means dying, to possess every part of him.
